Kinetic Warehouse bluetooth scanner, Multi scan functionality not working

We are trying to set up the mobile kinetic warehouse app up to work with a cheap bluetooth ring scanner:

We also have an expensive zebra scanner with a built in android device. The problem is that the zebra scanner works perfectly with the multiscan functionality (to input Job, assem, and op all on one barcode delimited by a %) but the cheap android ring scanner does not. It just inputs the barcode value into the first textbox with the delimiter characters included in it. As far as we can tell the EKW settings match between the 2 devices we are using.

Is there a reason the multiscan function wouldn’t work with a basic bluetooth scanner? I see in the wireless scanner setting that it only accepts a Honeywell scanner that’s over $1k but I don’t know the technical reason why what we have wouldn’t work.

Possibly, the difference could be wether the scanners supports full ASCII?

The model I am using does support full ascii. I believe I have it enabled, I just have a booklet of mini barcodes to scan to configure the device and I scanned the enable for that one. Not a bad thought though.

On a complete side note and completely out of curiosity…

What do users have to say about wearing that?

I developed a non epicor related android app like a year ago for scanning in barcodes and everybody seems pretty happy with it. They’re cheap and weigh nothing. Works well enough.
