Looking to get clarification on how this checkbox works. I’m assuming the KitShipComplete value from Part Plant gets copied over to Order detail lines when it’s saved.
However, it looks like this is not the case. My Kit parent part number has KitShipComplete checked off and the component parts do not have this checked off.
When I pull in the Kit part number into the order, when I check the KitShipComplete value on the OrderDetail table, it’s set to 1 on the component parts, even though its set to 0 on their Part Plant setting.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, this prevents kits from being shipped, as I get the “Kit must be shipped complete” error. We don’t want to uncheck that field as we don’t want to ship component lines on the pack slip.
If I manually set the value to 0 on the OrderDtl table it allows us to ship.
To be honest I haven’t paid much attention to this field. Field help, “Indicates if the parent kit part must be shipped complete of if kit components can be shippped in varying degrees of completeness. This field is only relevant for sales order lines which are kit parents. If this field is set to “No” then KitPricing must be set to “P”.” So not too much help there.
@mkfernandez, I ended up setting KitShipComplete in OrderDtl in our configurator because I was having similar issues. I don’t believe this field was consistently getting set per PartPlant. I didn’t test exhaustively so I can’t say if the behaviour was consistent for all kits (although it should be).
