Label printers that work with Crystal

FYI

All, I did received help from a group member who recommended that I applied
the Crystal patches up to SP4.

After applying SP4 to Crystal, my label is now printing with the correct
orientation.

Thank you Bruce,

Cathy

No swapping.

I have started from scratch today and deleted the Seagull driver.

OK - so in Crystal in Page setup, I have a user defined Size with horizontal
= 2 - Vertical = .5 Orientation is Landscape.

In Section Expert, under Detail under paging - it is Landscape.

I go to print from Crystal reports and it so small and the wrong
orientation.

OK - now under Printer and Faxes - I add stock of Receiving Labels. With
Width of 2 and Height of .5 - Orientation is Landscape.

It prints from Crystal just fine.

In Crystal, if I choose File>Page Setup > No Printer Checked

Disassociate Formatting Page Size....

Nothing prints.

Is this printer only using this label or are you swapping labels as well.

Crystal Report 2008
CR Runtime 12_3
Current Seagull Scientific drivers for zebra(bartender)

If you go to printing preferences on the printer, what is the Page Setup
Stock Size?

The crystal label itself:
File > Page Setup
No Printer Checked
Dissociate Formatting Page Size and Printer paper size Checked?

You said that it is printing small correct? Or is it cut off when you
printer from Epicor?

I am having a terrible time trying to get a 2 x 1/2 inch Crystal Reports
Receiving label to print on our Zebra GX430t.

Are there any other label printers that work well with Crystal?

Thank you,
Cathy

Hi Cathy,

There are quite a few related threads this site, have you already seen those?

>> Are there any other label printers that work well with Crystal?
I'm not sure another brand will be any easier for you.
In Vantage I've had to fiddle way more than I liked to get labels printing.
But I have finally got them going & used Zebra printers too.

Unfortunately it is hard to provide useful help remotely.
Without being onsite it is difficult to check all the related settings and see what the printer is doing.

Thank you,

I have seen the threads and started a few too -

I can print the labels from Crystal Reports are they are good.

When I go through Receipt Entry > Actions > Print labels and export them to
a PDF - the labels are good.

If I print directly from Receipt Entry > Actions > Print Labels - the print
is super small and the orientation changes.

I am so confused.

I have called Zebra and Epicor without any answers.

I have seen settings on the windows side effect printing from Epicor while printing directly from Crystal while developing works fine.

Two things to check, one has already been mentioned.

This was check that the printer setup/properties has paper/forms that match the paper sizes you are printing.

Also a printer can have a "shrink to fit" property where if the paper sizes don't match it will shrink until it fits. Uncheck it and see how things print.
