Labor Entry - Setup % Complete field

I’m trying to figure out if the Setup % Complete field add both hours and dollars on a job sequence.
When entering Labor on a job sequence there is a field named "Setup % Complete and if you put a percent like 50% in it the job adds 50% of the Estimated Setup Hours to that sequence in addition to the Production hours entered. It apparently does not add this to the employee’s paid hours so there is a mis-match between the hours on the job versus payroll hours. I have not been able to determine whether is also adds dollar amount too. I suspect it would be based on a resource that was established for Setup??

@RMH148 , what is your Scheduling Send Ahead on the Site and Load Relieved By on the Company set to?

In the Operations Maintenance the Send Ahead is zero on all operations. I’m not sure where to look for the Load Relieved By setting.

Thanks,

Rod

Load Relieved By is on Company Configuration.

Job Relieved By is set to “Hours”

So, there are two things that are happening when someone enters a % complete when they are logging out of an operation.

First, their actual time spent logged into the operation gets captured and Labor and Burden is calculated based on that punch. This impacts the cost against the job.

Second, if they enter a % complete, the LOAD against that resource is relieved by the percentage they reported. If the estimated time was 2 hours and they entered 50%, the LOAD is relieved by 1 hour. All this impacts is the schedule.

Thank you for your quick reply. I can see that the percentage is adding that percent of the Estimated hours to the job, I just want to make sure that it is not adding any cost to the job. In or shop we are trying to calculate efficiencies for actual hours available versus hours charged to job. I this case the employee had 8 hours available that day and charged the job with 8 hours and was paid for 8 hours but because he left the setup % complete at 50% the hours on the job show 9 total hours. But, I’m hoping that the dollars on the job reflect the same as the paid dollars.
