Labor Hours Calculation

Hi All,

I’m looking at a few labor transactions, and wondering how they are being calculated. We’ve got a quantity only operation, that has the same clock in/clock out time, but .40 hours are being calculated. We have the “use estimates” box unchecked at the resource level. I’m curious as to how the labor hours are being calculated. They are not being costed to the job being quantity only, but we are looking at making a switch to time and quantity, and need to know how this works.

It should be based on the JobOper.ProdStandard field.

The only way to get a good look at how Time and quantity will work is to record some time on a job in test and study the records. Time should be actual, but burden could be split if you are on multiple operations at the same time.

Like Kevin, I’ve seen the production standard used for quantity only. If there is more than one resource on the operation, I’ve seen it double the standard but don’t recall the setup that caused it.
