Laser Printer Advise

We have one HP Laser Jet 4050TN and two Laser Jet 4000TN's on our
network. The 4050 is good and fast, I don't think I've ever had a
paper jam on that printer. The TN models have an two paper trays and
one maunal feed which is great for reports when you're using a lot of
paper.
Hey gang....

I'm asking my boss for a brand-spanking-new laser printer!! If it is
approved, I would like to buy one that will work with the big "V" and
specifically to print vendor checks.

A) Is this possible? Do people actually print vantage checks without
disaster or chronic aggravation syndrome?

B) I'm thinking of an HP 4050se "Workgroup Printer" with "True 1200 dpi
at full speed" and "Prints 17 ppm". Anyone using one on their
network?

Any input is truly appreciated!!!!

If you are going to use the printer for just checks then get a slower -
cheaper HP. If you are going to use the printer for checks and reports then
consider multiple trays. I have had good luck specifying drivers for HPII.

Keith

Rick, we have been using HP 4000 & 5000 printers for 22 months and I think
maybe 2 paper jams in that time. Don't know about printing checks though.
