I am currently trying to figure out a way to do time studies, but I think the application of what my solution needs may serve similar purposes for anyone trying to figure out a “last built” list of parts within a Pull As Assembly job.
The issue I am having as it stands is that when I try to look up the last few times a part has been built, I don’t have a clean way to see each instance of it due to some of our parts being built as spares (on ASM 0) and other parts being built as part of the full “system” (on ASM 3/4/12/etc…). Historically, to review “last built” items, I would look into Part Transaction History Tracker and review jobs, op times, costs, etc… through that menu. However, now that some of the components I am trying to review are no longer ASM 0, they no longer show up in part transaction history tracker as their is no definitive transaction being made against them. This is how it is operating based on my current understanding at least.
The only alternative I have considered but not tested, is outputting the “Labor Edit Listing” report in a CSV, then cross-reference that to a job report CSV that would hopefully have Job/ASM/Op or Job/ASM/Mtl all in one line. With those combined, I would hopefully be able to pivot table a result set that I could review. However, with how “reasonable” a build review sounds, I am hoping there is a menu pre-baked into the system that I am just missing.
Note: I am guessing this would be quite simple using a BAQ as each labor entry could then be tied to its respective Job/ASM/Op but for red tape reasons, I am currently in a bind as to when I would be able to get a BAQ made up. If BAQ is THE solution, I will accept my losses for now, but if there is another way to effectively accomplish this task, I am open to some creative ideas!
