Is there a way to link a UD table to an existing table? We believe we
need to link the UD01.Key1 field to the Part.UserInteger1 to do a
validation lookup on entry.
On a separate but related note, we are new to Vantage and fumbling
through customizations with only the Epicor student manuals as guides
(not much help either). Is there any better documentation available for
newbies to customizations? Anyone recommend a good VBscript starter
manual?

You can link the UD01.Key1 field to the Part.PartNum field as well.
This is done through the Tools/Data Tools menu in customization and then
setting up Custom Column Like and Foreign Key Views.
