Does anyone know, is there a feature that helps to lock a financial period so that after it’s closed, no one can create transactions for it any longer (mtl issuance, labor entries etc.)?
If not I’m assuming it could be work for some targeted bpms…
Sure, there is default functionality to assist with this. In Fiscal Periods, you can close periods. Under your Book Config, you can select what happens when somebody tries to post to a closed period. Options like fail, warn and auto change to next open period, auto select next period.
You also have earliest apply date. With EAD, you can put limits in per module or for all modules.
