Logic behind BitFlag field

Thanks Stephen!
I’ve working reading a lot about bit shifting and trying to figure out if a bit is active.
Interesting to see that Epicor 10 makes this a little simpler.

Hi All,

I was trying to figure out how the order entry UI knew if there was a Memo associated with the order/line/release.
It looks like the BitFlag field is used to indicate this.

Does anyone know what the logic is behind this field? It contains a number and I suspect it uses bit logic to calculate its value but I’m wondering how I can determine if the bit to indicate that a memo exists is active.
