Looking Back

Earlier today, I found myself browsing the Spiceworks community in search of information about an issue I was encountering with Hyper-V and VM Migration.

Although I’ve been a member of Spiceworks for over 14 years, it’s been quite a while since I last visited. I was surprised by how much the site has evolved over the years.

Curiosity got the better of me, so I decided to look back at some of my earliest posts. I couldn’t help but laugh at some of the questions I had asked back then. Many of the tasks I handle effortlessly today once seemed daunting. It was a reminder that I didn’t always have the knowledge I do now, and that everyone starts at the beginning.

Sometimes, a little trip down memory lane is all it takes to stay grounded and appreciate how far we’ve come as individuals and communities.

EDIT - after the way this week’s gone, I gotta keep it light…LOL
As far as memory lane goes…a lot of things I’d probably have done different…but no regrets.

I get that here on EpiUsers every so often when I run across an old thread.

love you all work in progress GIF

And then you try to teach your job to someone else now and realize how impossible it seems.

I’m in worse shape - there’s no one here for me to teach or offload anything to. Good times.

Ah the ol spiceworks! Great reminder Jason!

Amen brother…

Wisdom comes from experience. And experience comes from mistakes.

So if you expect to become wise, expect to make a lot of mistakes.

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.

You only have to get it right once.

But one, “oh shit …”, wipes out 100 “atta boys”
