I have an existing part that has an existing qty on hand.
I would like to start lot tracking this part
Epicor has advised lot tracking cannot be turned on as there is existing qty.
What is the correct why to have this rectified?
You have to adjust out all existing on hand quantity, turn on lot tracking, and then adjust back in with lot numbers.
I also had to clear parts Orders and Goods inwards links along with updating the costing Method on the Sites tab (PartPlant table)
Speaking of changing the costing method, you can’t do that either if a part has QOH.
