Tom,

From our investigation here, it seems to be the first machine in the work
center.
You can set the options in company maintenance/data collection to prompt for
machine and have them enter it again as they did, but it seems to default to
the first machine for the work center.
Hope this helps.

Subject: [Vantage] Machine ID's in 6.0

Before upgrade from 5.2, associates would clock into the operation
and they would enter the machine ID. Now in 6.0 when they clock in
on the operation it defaults to machine #. Some of the machines are
no longer in use or are not what the operation calls for. What in
the system is driving this default Machine ID? The engineers say it
isn't in the BOM and work center drives the standards. Is the
machine default in 6.0 driven by work center, employee, or sequence?

Thanks,

Tom Ford
