Can anyone confirm/deny that ECC will support showing the releases associated with an Order Line in the ‘customer portal’.
I think I’m getting the run-around from Sales and I’m searching the posts but not seeing anything specific about ECC functionality.

Regarding base software the CUOD message is what is responsible for the Order Detail information and it doesn’t have release level information in that messaging specification, so you’ll see the line level, essentially summarized information for your releases, but not the release detail itself as far as I can see.
Depending on what you want to see you might be able to get it via customization though.

Are we able to make our own ‘message’ and call the Kinetic API for the release data?
I’ve got my consultant looking into the options I have, but I like 3rd party verification.
you can do a full custom message but that would be a commitment moving forwards to maintain any other changes that kinetic does. You’d need ECC to be customized to use that information too. It ultimately depends on your use case. If you have many releases it could get complicated so depends what you need the release information for and how much there is.
