I don’t have Kinetic yet. My organization is in the process of evaluating Kinetic and laying the groundwork for updating to Kinetic in the near future. I know there have been lots of changes that have been implemented in Kinetic. I worked with Epicor in the past and I am getting back with the software now. I have a few questions I will appreciate some answers to them.
I have not gone as deep in 10.5 as I intend to. I am just now getting my feet underneath me. A few of my users have expressed frustrations with certain things in 10.5. Now I know some of those issues were resolved with Kinetic. I don’t know where all those changes/improvements were implemented.
One question I would appreciate an answer to has to do with mandatory fields on screens/forms. My users inform me that they wish they had some mechanism that let them know which fields on a screen/form are mandatory. It seems that they spend a lot of time determining which fields are mandatory. Does any one out there know if Kinetic has resolved this issue. By that I mean one of the things I did way back when I designed screens was to highlight the mandatory fields by making them a certain color as soon as the screen/form opens up.
Has anything like this being implemented in Kinetic, or do I have to take care of that myself. By that I mean I could try to implement something like making the color different from the non-mandatory fields.
I know this is kind of a long-winded way to ask a question.
