I have a need to ship out an item and provide a return label through either FedEx and/or UPS where we can select to have a return label printed for the equivalent of what was shipped out.
More details on why I ask in case anyone has a potential work around/solution:
We have rubber insulating gloves that we send out and part of the program that we have on sending out the tested and certified gloves is to have them receive the gloves and then place their old gloves to have them put in the box and take the label place it on there and send it back to us for retest.
We looked at the return label process earlier this year and found that UPS and FedEx via Manifest will only give you one return label via Manifest. In our case we use customer shipment entry → Pack out with Phantom packs and one shipment could have multiple boxes shipping. We were looking to have return labels for the same number of boxes shipped out on one sales order come back and in January we could only get 1 label back.
Our work around for our project was to temporarily install FedEx ship manager on a local shipping station as via Ship Manager you can specify the number of return labels needed per shipment. Then manually key shipping information into Epicor. We only did this work around for a specific project. All other shipment will go through Epicor and Manifest as normal.
Just getting back to this project though I should have been working on this sooner:
with your Cust Ship Entry situation was yours set us as releases or one shipment with multiple boxes. I wonder if perhaps different releases since there are different locations would provide multiple return labels.
