Kit times - changed kit time from 2 days to 7days (time to assembly components prior to issuing job to shop floor.)
Part Maint > Plant > Planning > Kit time
MRP has run overnight but newly created firm jobs it has created still have the old 2 day time
It seems to work for purchased parts but where the component is a manufactured part it does not seem to have extended the kitting time.
Is there something i’ am missing.

For a Manufactured Part - MRP will use the operations run times, set up, etc to determine the start date.
Looks like the start and due date are the same date.
Take a look at your operations.

Hi Cathy,
I check in the part method tracker and nothing is suggesting that a 2 day stop gap is in place in the operation(s)
I did come across kit time in plant, this is not check at present - i wonder if this could be causing any issues.

Tried Production Prep Buffer per part but this doesn’t seem to work and add the time to the Job.
However, Receive Kit Time adds the appropriate days to the Job schedule, giving the buffer required per part to allow for the additional time.
