We have a manf plant on the East Coast that is all setup and running as its own LLC. Inter Company orders to the Distribution company each day.
Issue I have is we are building a New Building in Illinois for Manufacturing. Looking at Resources/Groups its defined by Warehouse not by Site. Is there no way to layout a 2nd site in the Company or is everything driven through the Warehouse side?
My company is NOT multi-site, so I could be wrong… but the resource groups and warehouses are tied to a particular site (unless it is a shared warehouse, not sure if you can have shared resources too, or not).
Do you have the Multi-Site Management License?
Did you create a new site in Site Maintenance?
I would assume you then log into the NEW site.
I would assume you then create a new warehouse under that new site and that will appear when you create new Resource Groups under the new site.
You could then create a new resource group under that site. There’s no field to select the site, so I assume it probably just defaults to whatever site you’re signed into when you create the resource group.
If you look at the ResourceGroup table… the first two “keys” are Company and Site.
That all sounds right. We have 3 sites, in one company.
Yes we have multi site, I see that now on teh table and went back into resources to list view and it allows to build resources there by site. My mfg site is only 1 warehouse and site so i have no other site to look at. I just dropped some on the distribution side of things, which has 14 sites and its driving by site but in the main list it doesn’t show the site on the page. now that i’m in the multi site distro company i can see the difference. thanks
Good catch, the column is available (it was turned on in my list view). So you could probably add it on the entry form if you wanted to.
