Mass Change of Material

Agree with you, will look into it, but fairly newbies with Vantage and don't want to miss any important validation steps along the way!

We will probably head back to our consultant to help us out on this issue, unless someone already went through this exercise and has this customization available....

We would like to have a functionality for mass replacement of material on Bills of Material but,,,

Global change will do the following

1.Increment revision number of Parent
2.Change partnum
3.Change per qty in the BOM, if there is a need( We would define a conversion factor)
4.Checkin Part once completed

Any Idea as to how best to proceed, we are on Vantage 8.407

My understanding is that the Mass Part Replace only keeps a revision change log, but does not increment revision, nor does it enable me to change per qty.

I would also like to hear back from those of you who have used the mass part replace, in case nothing else is available, we might use it as is, but I want to make sure no one ran into serious problem with Mass Part Replace

You could do this via a customization (adding a button somewhere) that

Not saying that it would be easy, but probably a couple of days on your
