Mass check out for engineering

Yes, but if you have a mass of parent parts, you have to do each individually.

When you right click on the part number in Part Entry - you can select where used.
It will list all of the parent parts and allow you to do a mass checkout.

Has anyone done anything to do a mass checkout for engineering to a group?
I'm thinking it would probably be a service connect script but I am hoping there would be an alternative.

I'm not sure an updatable dashboard would work unless there was a whole bunch of code behind it to do the check out. I would have to look at the process to see what BPM's could be used in that case.
We are probably looking at SC but I hesitate pulling the trigger at this point.

We'll I think it might. You can set fields in update able dashboards. Set them to the ECO you want.

How about using the Data Migration Tool (DMT) If you don't have it you would have to purchase it but its not that expensive

The express check out process is one you could leverage
Could you get a list view set up?

How about using the Data Migration Tool (DMT) If you don't have it you would have to purchase it but its not that expensive

We'll I think it might. You can set fields in update able dashboards. Set them to the ECO you want.

I'm not sure an updatable dashboard would work unless there was a whole bunch of code behind it to do the check out. I would have to look at the process to see what BPM's could be used in that case.
We are probably looking at SC but I hesitate pulling the trigger at this point.

Maybe an updateable dashboard...service connect would work

I'm thinking it would probably be a service connect script but I am hoping there would be an alternative.

DMT would update the BOM and BOO but I would have to create spreadsheets to update the data. All the engineers want is a mass checkout which brings the method in for a family of parts.

When you right click on the part number in Part Entry - you can select where used.
It will list all of the parent parts and allow you to do a mass checkout.
