Mass submission of print jobs

I would be interested in how you set up to mass print in a dashboard if you willing to share that info with me.

Subject: [Vantage] Mass submission of print jobs

Hello,

I will be creating a dashboard that, at the click of a button, will send
out order confirmations for all the orders pulled into the dashboard by
printing them printing them to APM.

There could be a lot of sales order pulled into the dashboard, which
will translate into a lot of print jobs being submitted in a short time
frame.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with a mass submission of
print jobs and how Epicor handled it or, more specifically, was Epicor
able to handle the load.

Any feedback is appreciated.

How do you define mass printing? We send fairly large print jobs and
Vantage seems to handle it just fine (you can hear the printer tray
screaming in the back of the office under the weight) - say 12 inches
stacked isn't uncommon.

Good point.

What I meant was that I would be submitting a bunch of individual print
jobs in a short period of time.

If you looked in the system monitor you would see an entry for each
print job as opposed just one large print job.

Ok, we haven't tried that approach in the past so I couldn't tell you
what to expect there. I assume you have a test server you could try it
out on..
