Is there a way to set the maximum number of parts a job will be suggested for? So say there is demand for 1000 parts, instead of one job of 1000 it would suggest 10 jobs of 100? Or does this even make sense?
It is on the Part Site tab and the fields you want are Multiple, Min Lot Size, and Max Lot Size.

MRP will respect the Max Lot Size setting in the Part > Sites > Planning tab. If you use order job wizard or quick job entry it will not.
You can also use Job Manager to split jobs, so in your case you would split that job of 1000 ten times to make each job 100. Much easier letting MRP do it.
