Menu Security

does anyone here know how the menu security works? for instance, if I allow the first 2 levels of menus but disallow the 3rd level, then allow that same 3rd level menu for individual users, does the user lever override the menu level security and allow just those users to get to the menu?

I’m pretty sure that disallow trumps allow. So if you specifically set a user group to disallow and try to provide access to a specific user then it would still block them if they are in the disallow group. However for that 3rd level you can set the allow to the specific users and leave the disallow empty and it should only allow the users in the allow group to access that menu. I never really use disallow for anything but I guess it would be useful if you wanted to provide access to a security group except for a handful of people who are in that group.

Awesome info Eric, thanks so much!
That is what we are seeing with our testing, its good to confirm others see the same

Diann, does LL Bean use Epicor or a company that they acquired?
