Depending on how you handle the payroll hours side you could perhaps create an Indirect activity called "Lunch" and then deduct time on this from payroll hours....if you are processing your own hours that is.

There is nothing in the system that I am aware of that lets shop employees
do a Lunch clock out or in. They only way is to end all activities and then
Clock Out and back In.

You're right, you don't want them accruing time against jobs while at lunch,
but I was hoping that MES had a function where you could pick "Lunch Out"
and "Lunch In".
Thank you

Tony,
In Shift Setup you remove the checkbox for Lunch first. This way Lunch in
not automatically taken out.
But if you shop employees are clocking out for lunch don't you want them to
end all the activities they are clocked into at that time. If they don't you
are accumulating time against operations for jobs when no one is actually
working on the job.

This seems like a stupid question, sorry, how do you clock out for lunch in
MES?
Payroll wants to remove the "auto clock out" for lunch as defiend in the
Shift setup, but I can't see how a guy clocks out for lunch in MES without
closing all job transactions, and literally clocking out.
Thank you,
Tony
