Is there a way to accommodate a minimum order quantity at the supplier price list level in Epicor?
We have multiple suppliers for the same parts, but different suppliers have different minimum order quantities. Sometimes we purchase based on availability and would like to be able to set up the MOQ per supplier.
I know it’s available at the part level in part maintenance, but that doesn’t help for separate suppliers.
You could try to perhaps use Quantity Breaks… set the first one at the Supplier Minimum Qty and a price modifier of (0).
It wouldn’t prevent someone from TRYING to order less than the minimum, nor would it take any minimum order qty into account within PO Suggestions… but it would at least allow you to keep a pseudo record of the minimum against each supplier. Your Buyers would just need to be trained to review them prior to entering the PO.
The Price Lists have a comment field where you could also log the MOQ so the buyers can see the detail.
Sounds like a good “Idea” you could submit!.. unless anyone else chimes in with a solution.
