We are closing our month end period and setting earliest apply dates on a Friday so we can balance of the PL and SL.
However, the last day of the month is a Saturday and we still have factory workers in wanting to book in stock and process. Are they able to do this and will the postings go into the next month?

Why wouldn’t you set it as Saturday since there are transactions happening?

Right or make the period end on Feb 27 and the next go from Feb 28 to Mar 31…
I mean that is probably a red flag for auditors or who knows what, so I’m not really recommending it.
But yeah it sounds like they want conflicting goals. End the “real” transactions on Friday but push the “unimportant” transactions to next month period. That distinction is not valid.
