More Barcoding Mysteries

So, we’re using Honeywell CK75’s and Epicor’s handheld module.
Yes, we know it’s bad, but we can’t afford to change to anything else at this point.

On to the question.
We have 2 terminal servers for these to run the hh clients on.
One is 2008 R2 and we have an identical VM that’s running 2012 R2.
Excluding Epicor here, if a user scans a combo QR into notepad on each server, I get different results.
The combo QR code is as follows “MAIN” + Tab Character + “TRK”
Server 2008 R2 yields a proper scan of “MAIN TRK”
Server 2012 yields this: “MAIN MAIN”
The same QR code was scanned between the two.
What gives?

we dont use QR codes, but we did have scanning issues. We would scan a barcode and sometimes it would be ok, other times it would be scrambled… we are using terminal servers too. the solution was to set an intercharacter delay on the barcode scanner of 2ms. So that when the handheld is sending the data to the terminal server, it puts a slight delay between each character that it sends. you wont notice the difference in the scanning speed. Hope this helps!

I tried looking for that setting, but I was unable to find it on the CK75. Any thoughts on where I should look?
