Moving buttons Blank Title 107545

The only other thing I can add is I have had weird behavior when the size of the form or group has been changed to make room so I can move things around. As with your experience I could never get things to behave and had to go back to a clean starting point. Even manually adjusting the form back to its original size wouldn't help.

it seemed to have something to do with either the form's, group's or button's anchor settings (left, right, top, bottom). When the form launched it seemed to want to work with the anchor settings to adjust locations based on them since the customization was changing the size of the form. That looked to throw off my adjustments to the button locations. As I mentioned to get things straightened out I had to go back to a clean start and then carefully move things without changing the size of the underlying form/group. in one case I remember doing something in the load event as mentioned by another poster.

There was so I deleted the personalisation and then tried moving a button

Might be a silly question but did you change the menu to point to the customization?

Yes - looked at the menu with the button in one place then customised it,
moved the button and saved it. Then went back to the menu and saw that the
button had moved - but to a totally different place - closed the menu and
then went back into it via the customisation and the button was where I had
put it.

Then moved it back to where it was originally and now it shows up in a
totally different area.

Only thing I can see is that the menu has Group Boxes - could there be
something about this that causes a problem?

Adrian,

I'd love to know if you find a solution. I've seen this in some forms.
Notably, when you edit one of the UD table maintenance programs, the
"SEARCH" button is usually one that likes to revert to its original
position. I've gotten to the point where I just design my screens so that I
don't have to move that button.

I've seen this happen a number of times. Never been able to get to the
bottom of it though =(

For what it's worth, if you set the location/property on Form.Load, that
will work. Not really practical to do whole customizations that way, but it
works for 1-2 fields.

That's exactly what I've had to end up doing. I had to go back to the
previous customisation and start all over again as trying to move the
buttons back to their original position didn't work.
