Moving to 4.0/adding a citrix server

Thanks - I'll check with our company president to see if he has it.

Hello-

We are in the process of adding a Citrix server to our main plant so that
our satellite plant on the other side of town will have a fast connection
(the other plant does not currently use Vantage). In addition, we will be
implementing 4.0 within the next couple of months. We are currently using
3.0 for General Ledger and Accounts Payable only (only 3 of us use it), but
will implement most other modules when we move to 4.0, as well as bringing
the other plant's users onto Vantage. We currently have 4.0 loaded on our
server with data (G/L & A/P only) that was live back in May. For now, I
have loaded the 4.0 client on all machines so that everyone can get used to
the new system (they can play around and review help screens without
affecting live data).

Does 4.0 no longer have a "TUTORIAL" as I couldn't find one when loading 4.0
on the client machines (I could add the 3.0 tutorial to their machines,
however, I'm afraid this may cause confusion)? I hate to give them the 3.0
tutorial when some of it may not be applicable in 4.0. In addition, does
anyone have any words of wisdom as we add the Citrix server and implement
4.0 as well as client requirements (i.e. amount of memory, etc.)? Any and
all feedback would be appreciated!

Yes, it is on a separate CD. Should have come with your 4.0 installation
kit. Mine has one of those "two in one" CD jewel boxes with it.

Hi Rick,

Your right, the tutorial in 4.0 is not the same as in 3.0. You can however,
still install the 4.0 training database, and you can install the 4.0
training 'tutorial' although it is different from the 3.0 tutorial (I don't
like it as much, but that's just me).

To install the 4.0 training database, all you need to do is check off
'install training shortcuts' during the client install. To install the
tutorial, there is a separate disk for it that is disk 2 of your vantage 4.0
cd case. It is very easy to install, the instructions are on page 43 of the
vantage 4.0 install guide you can get on-line.

Sarah
I found the Tutorial in Epicor\VANTAGE\Tutorial\vntgtutor.exe
