MRP Leadtime not correct

I’m having an issue with MRP and Time Phase not calculating the due date for jobmtl. I have a purchase part with a lead time on PART of 14 days, no vendor assigned in site, no vendor price list, but system is subtracting 7 days from the JobMtl_WIReqDate and showing the due date wrong. I have a WIReqDate of 8/5/2025 and it calculated the required date as 7/30/2025 on the JobMtl record.

What is in Kit Time in Site Maintenance? That value is subtracted from the material due date.

Thak You for your reply. Not sure how it works but the Kit Time is set to 5 days and Supplier Due Date Horizon is set to 2 days.

The example I have is the part itself is lead time of 14 date and the job start date is 8/5/2025 and the reqdate in jobmtl is being set to 7/30/2025 and the po suggestion is also 7/30/2025 which are only backing of 7 days.

I would think that it would be at least 14 days to match the lead time in the PART record.

Once again, thank you for your assistance.

Lead time will set your order by date on the buyers workbench. It doesn’t do anything to the due date for the material.

So now I’m not really confused.

What then is changing the JobMtl_reqdate? Is it the lead time on the assembly that it is pegged to?

I see the JobMtl_WiReqDate is the Job Asmbl_startdate…so is this saying that the JobMtl_reqdate is 7 days before that job starts?

Assuming you are backward schedule the scheduleing engine starts at the last operation and goes backwards to the first operation for the start date. Then if kit time is set that is subtracted to give purchasing a date the material needs to be on the doc so there is time for receiving inspection and put away before the job needs to be kitted.

I have these on a tab on the job like this for us.

Thank you. Happy 4th of July. Thanks for work today.
