MRP, Macros & Terminal Server

I don't know what version of Vantage you're using but if you're on V8
you can just schedule a process set to run nightly.

Subject: [Vantage] MRP, Macros & Terminal Server

Hello,

We are just beginning to run MRP on a daily basis - from doing a
search I see that others are using a Ground Control macro (by
Acrasoft) to run MRP over night.

The software is priced right and appears to be Vantage friendly. Is
anyone using this software in a Windows Terminal environment? Does
anyone else have any suggestions?

Also, we currently use a free program called "EZ Marcos" as a keyboard
macro utility. Unfortunately, it isn't very stable in our Windows
Terminal environment. Does anyone use another keyboard macro utility
with success?

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,

Kelly

I use http://www.autohotkey.com in terminalserver environment
I haven't seen any issues yet, but of course you have to take care if
you are creating macro's from customization
each user has to have a stationname / username in there naming convention.

Simply creating a macro in //vantageserver/macros/everyone can give you
trouble
e.g. create a macro's in //vantageserver/%clientname%/ if you have
different stations concurent working.

I don't know what the difference between Ground Control & Autohotkey
are, but we use Autohotkey like crazy and it's free. We also use it on
terminal servers for large runs where we don't want to tie up a
workstation, haven't had a problem.
