MRP Not given any suggestions

Last night our server took a dump (restarted) about 5 minutes into MRP.

I rebooted the server in the morning and ran MRP, it looks like it completed fine, but there are few suggestions.

There is data in the PartDtl table, I verified a few Parts as well and they should have gone through. MRP logs indicate that the parts were processed, but just looks like it didnt know about the demand,

Generate PO, Process MRP, Valid Moms are present. I do have an open call with EPICOR, but look for some other this to check.

Net Change or Regen?
I would run FULL REGEN the next time.
And don’t reuse ANY orders

We only do Regen, ran NetChange to see if would reset some flag, then ran Regen, and same results.

Process MRP Recalc Needed may fix this. I always run it before running MRP.

Trying…

Yesterday, we set a part to RUN OUT, anyone use this? After my Recalc, I am going to uncheck RUN OUT and see what happens.

Hopefully this flag does it…Running Regen again.

That didnt do it neither…3/4 the way complete and only 5 jobs.

right … the RECALC is a very good idea.

i know it sounds weird - but try opening up the regen dates … .like from 1/1/2001 to 1/1/2099

Just tried that…same thing. Going to run PO Suggestions by itself…see what happens. Just seems that a flag is not set somewhere.

PO Suggestion completes but it is not giving about 20% of suggestions.

Start looking at all flags….All your parts are marked for Process MRP under the Planning tab?

Either the truncation of the BI did it, or the Binary Dump and Load? Spent Friday night doing the D&L for Saturday morning. Was able to get it going around 530am and MRP started to work again.

Sorry I don’t have anything productive to add but I do have a question.
What exactly does that recalc do?

The global scheduling recalc?

yes

it provides a list of jobs for global scheduling. whether you are finitely or infinitely scheduling, run that before global scheduling.

I believe the reference was the Process MRP Recalc Needed process which is needed for NetChange as it flags parts to review if inventories are changed, orders moved or changed, and job changes also.

It places a yes in the partplant record, MRPRecalcNeeded field.
