MRP Suggests to Reduce PO Quantity Causing Negative Balance

We have some part numbers where MRP is suggesting to reduce the PO causing the balance to go negative while there are jobs causing demand. The days of supply is 30. The lead time is 40. No min max. What can cause this situation?

Hi Paul,

Can you add Req By Date for the Job, and run the MRP again? I think this will solve your issue.

Those two jobs on your screenshot don’t. Your parent item’s jobs (where this item is needed) are not getting scheduled.

A blank due date will be ignored by MRP completely.

I just realized you have UNFIRM Job, you need to FIRM it.
