Mssql unable to connect to database

Epicor seems to work fine.
But using mssql I am unable to connect to database, getting an error the remote access is unavailable.
We did no changes into the account credentials.

Test database is OK.

It is scary and do not know how to resolve this. We connect to it via SQL server authentification. Because of this, all our production tools created under .net are not working.
Error says about password or id incorrect…

But no one has changed anything !!!

Anyone can put a light on how to resolve this?

EDIT: On the server, we are able to connect to the DB with mssql. So it is not a credential issue.

But accessing it remotely seems to be the issue. Although no one has made such configuration change!

I did vérify the option on the server to allow remote connection and it was checked.

Very bizarre…

Is it possible that the window firewall or other software firewall has been enabled blocking port 1433?. This link might help you trouble shoot Verify Connectivity to SQL Server
