Multiple events with one button

To answer your questions, and clear up important points for others:

a) Sorta, haha. I get my way around most of the time, but I'm not a hard core programmer, no. Jack-of-all here, not a specialist by any means.
b) Yes, I am familiar with the platform. Have created multiple custom dashboards and customized many default screens.
c) 9.05.607A

Thanks for the tip, that gave me something to try. I won't have time until later today to check it out.

Hello All,

Was just pushed over here by a user from Spiceworks- what a fantastic resource for Epicor!

So, to break my silence, a question:
How can I have my shipping guys press one button to accomplish several tasks? IE- Pressing F4 would trigger the "Get Weight", "Close", and "Freight" events in the Customer Shipment screen.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Simply add a custom button to the screen
initialize an event handler for it
Then Run a Trace and replicate what vantage does in code.

Its a lot more complex than just a quick here you go, a few questions would
probably be pertinent before we go down a never ending story.

a) Are you a programmer? (C#, VB)
b) Are you familiar with the Epicor Platform and how it works? (Business
Objects, Data Views, Customization, BPMs)
c) What version are you on?

BTW if you can not answer Hell Yes to questions a and b then I'd say this
project is a bit more complex than what you can do. Maybe you should
consider starting smaller and building up. IE figure out how to make the
button do 1 thing first.
