Good Luck with that. We did the same thing going from 6 to 9.04 and it has been a horrible experience for all. We had Epicor do the database conversion in Nov 09 and we still are having issue that support can't seem to fix. After 4 months I had to do a dump and load, otherwise my weekends are filled with running 1 off fixes or patches.
In all fairness I should disclose that our database has been upgraded a couple times. Think we started with Version 3 or 4 of Vantage, but the actual db size is only 4gig. Also we use Progress not SQL.
