I do my orders a little different form the way Vista would like you to do it. I don't let Vista automatically make the sales order and create a job number. Not all my jobs get quoted so I start with a sales order, If it is quoted I go to New Icon pull down and select New Line from quote, select the proper quote and that sets up the new line with al the correct info and links the quote to the sales order. to create the job I go to actions, order line, job manager. when that loads in the demand box I pick the demand from the sales order and click on create job, which lets me select the job number I would like. after it is created a line appears in the supply box and from there you can get the details from the BOM for that part. It solves the problem of letting Vista make all of your decisions.
