No PO releases found

Good morning to all,
I’m trying to see if anyone has ever come across the following error:

“No PO releases found to process within mass receipts.”
I’m just getting started with Epicor after a few years absence.

I found this error just now, trying to figure out how the Receipt Entry app works in our test environment - some pre-requisite step is missing to receive this error. There has to be a logical flow of the steps to take when entering a purchase order, physically receiving the product, then entering the receipt in Receipt entry. I need to find a walkthrough or documentation that shows the whole process starting with PO Entry, then covering Receipt Entry.

The basic documentation for POs is found in the Purchasing User Guide:

But there’s precious little there about the Mass Receipt functionality. There is a Epicor Learning Center video that explains the basics if you have access to that.

Either

  1. You are in site A and all the releases are for site B
  2. There is an open release for a part that are serial-tracked or lot-tracked
  3. An open release is drop-ship (there’s a separate process for those)

There may be more reasons. Perhaps purchase direct (to a job) blocks it also.

Did you ever figure this out? We started getting this error for a bunch of POs just last week, apparently had not seen it before.
