No PO suggestion for purchased part with open order, even when run manually

We are not getting PO suggestions on parts we should (they are BTO/drop ship parts). I manually ran PO suggestions for 1 of the parts with an open and past due order and still did not get a suggestion. There is nothing in Time Phase - not even demand for the open order.

It is possibly a UOM issue - the IUM is case of 1000 while PUM and Sales UM are case of 10.

Part appears to be set up correctly:
Detail tab has checked: BTO, Drop Ship, Non-Stock, Quantity Bearing. Type = Purchased.

Sites | Detail has checked: Non-Stock, Quantity Bearing, Generate Suggestions, BTO, Drop Ship

Sales Order Release is BTO and drop ship. System identified vendor, but did not link PO or suggestion.

MRP was run for that specific part. Allow Historical Dates was checked; there was no cutoff date.

What else should I check? There are about 10 such orders that did not process. We can create the POs and manually link them, but it is not optimal.

If you can post the Time Phase for the part, that would help.

Of the top of my head, are you multi-site? Maybe the site is not set up on the part. Do you have the UOM conversion entered on the part for the 1,000? Is the MRP flag set to true?

Thanks for the thoughts.

  1. There are no rows returned in Time Phase
  2. I ran PO suggestions, not MRP for that part and that IS checked.
  3. Yes, the conversion factor on Case of 1000 is populated.

Two different trails I am testing out:

  1. Case of 1000 UOM is set up with no decimals. I am going to change that and see if it matters.
  2. Supplier price list is still in Case of 1000. That might make a difference, too.
