Notification of materials delayed

Hi all

We are currently running MRP on all parts and all of our jobs are make to stock.

We frequently run into situations where our materials deliveries are delayed.
Is there any way that we can get a notification out of the system on what top level parts and sales orders get affected as soon as PO and job due date of any subassembly or lower level part is changed? Since everything is make to stock we don’t have the job to job link at the moment, we need to be able to know that if purchasing has changed the PO due date on a part what all jobs and sales orders will get affected. More often than not this is only visible to us when we are actually working on the job and send it for picking that we don’t have any material available and need to delay the job.

We have tried exploring the multilevel pegging dashboard but Epicor has advised us that it’s quite clunky at the moment.

I have SQL skills so I can comfortably write queries, need the idea on what to do though.

Currently on 10.2.6

Hi,

It looks like some configurations may be missing. A consultant can help resolve these issues. With MPS configured and MRP fully implemented, it will provide valuable insights.

Try defining the minimum quantity for your raw materials and schedule the Time Phased Material Requirements Report via routing to get email updates

Technically you can achieve what you asked, but I recommend to use base

  • when the due date changes trigger an email with a list of all the connected Sales Orders and Jobs using a BAQ- from a BPM or customization

Thanks,
Arun
