Hi Cliff,

I do invoicing with Toro with out using a mapping service.
I use EasyLink and I do my own mapping.
I use VB and Access.
If your looking for a home grown solution I will try and help.

Thanks,

Is there anyone out there in Vantageland that is using OB10 to do
electronic invoicing? We are being requested by HP to use it. Anyone
know what it takes to set it up ?

Hi Cliff,

We are a supplier to HP as well and use OB10 for some of our invoices to
them. In our case, when we generate the invoices the usual way, the
offending HP paper invoice comes to me. The I know to run a simple
report builder export of the invoice in text file format. I can open it
up with notepad if any edit is necessary. Then you enter the OB10
website, submit the text file, get confirm that it was accepted, and
*BOOM*, 45 days later we get paid.

There is probably a more elegant way to do this, but like a Harley tool
kit (hammer, big slotted screw driver and roll of duct tape) this is
simple and effective.

For set up, OB10 gave us a template of how they wanted the format of
that text file to look, and then had me submit several samples until it
was right. Been pretty much problem free since then.

When we move on the V8 and report builder goes away, I'll have to come
up with something using Crystal, I guess.

Give me a buzz off-line if I can help any more.

When you are on their web site can you submit multiple invoices
at once ? Does each invoice have to be a separate file or does your
report do multiple invoices at once ? I'm trying to get as much info as
possible before we pay the $800 just to try it out. We do over a hundred
invoices a month with HP. I want to know what I'm Volunteering for ?!?

Cliff
PS: Could really use your RB report to get started. I hate
re-inventing the wheel. If I improve on your report I'll send you
anything I do.
