(off topic) Edit Batch file for Tape Backup - exclu de folder

No Problem... :)

Try these commands for a change:

C:\DOS
C:\DOS RUN
C:\RUN DOS RUN

Or for the UNIX people among us:
$> cd /pub
$> more beer

Thanks so much! All this time I have been searching for a command line that
would allow me to exclude 2 folders, when I could just edit the file to tell
it to copy only the other 10 folders that I want copy. I don't know why I
did not think of that, but thank you so much!!!

Does anybody know how to edit a batch file (for tape backups) to NOT include
certain folders example, we do not want it to backup the
"d:\completed_projects" folder.

Thanks!

Sarah
Sarah,

I use Backup Exec and ARCServe IT to run my back ups. I just simply select
folders or individual files I would like to include in a back up. If I
would have to create a batch file I would exclude a folder by including only
the items I want. So, instead of copy D:\*.* I would enter:
copy d:\folder1
copy d:\folder2
copy d:\folder3

HTH,

Paul Siebers
