I wonder how much development time Epicor spent in trying to help with
this compliance issue?

Anyway, good riddance. It was a terrible idea and even the IRS didn't
think it would raise more revenue than it cost to enforce.

IIRC, people were having a hard time getting a check box for certain
professional corporations on the 1099. Was that ever taken care of?
I know a few people were watching this..

President Obama recently signed legislation into law officially repealing
the 1099 reporting requirement included in the health care reform law.

Under the conditions of the repeal, businesses will no longer be required to
issue 1099 forms to all vendors from whom they buy more than $600 worth of
goods or services in any year. The requirement was originally scheduled to
go into effect in 2012.
