Les,
I'm not sure if this qualifies, but it's very similar situation. My local
ISP is called ACC. I can send and receive email from everyone except that I
can't send mail to people who have their email thru ACC - their messages are
being bounced back to me. I found after a whole lot of run-around, that one
of the servers belonging to our off-site email provider (Interland) is
listed on one blacklist out there somewhere. That particular blacklist
doesn't seem to matter to the rest of the world, but the spam-filtering
software that our ISP uses is rejecting emails processed thru Interland's
server.
The buck (me) is being passed back and forth between Interland and ACC. By
the time I spent all day yesterday on the phone to these people trying to
get somebody to act, I was dizzy. I finally got Interland's abuse
department to look into it. If they can't get the blacklist to remove
Interland's email server I'm on, they say they will put my email on another
server that doesn't have that problem.
After the hassle I've been through over this, I'll believe that when I
finally see it. But maybe there's a common denominator between our two
problems??

We have a local provider for our Fractal T1 line. It's actually the
Gas & Electric company. We run MSExchange 5.5, TCP. I can send and
receive email with everybody, but those companys that have service
provided by the Gas & Electric Company. That is, all of us who have
are own Mail Servers. None of us are using the filtering feature. The
Gas & Electric Company is at a loss. We've tried changing Primary and
secondary addresses. At this point, it looks like we might be missing
a configuration setting somewhere. Has anybody ever run into this?
Thanks,
Les Tingley
