[OFF TOPIC] Netscape

Thanks to all who responded. I found out that the person installed a different video driver - that was not the correct one. I installed the right driver the card and
everything is working great.

Thanks again..

I have a computer acting strange. When he is on the a web page (any
web page) and he brings his mouse button over the buttons they turn
black and remain black. I tried changing his settings under preference
but that did not work. Does anyone have any ideas? He is running
netscape.

Did you reboot the computer? Probably so, but just checking.

If reboot doesn't work, it sounds like netscape needs to be uninstalled and
reinstalled, though it could be a bad video driver. What is the operating
system? If its 98 or above, there isn't much reason not to use Internet
Explorer, unless of course you are just making an attemt to avoid submission
to the Big Giant (B.G.) whenever possible....

Seriously though, Internet explorrer on 98SE machines and above is more
stable than netscape, in my experience.

Personally, I would try first to upgrade his video drivers. What OS is he
running? and what Video Card does he have, you may even want to replace the
video card. I have seen problems like that before and its usually the video
driver, but never with Netscape.

I am running Windows NT. I rebooted and that did not work. I am going to uninstall and reinstall Netscape. I'll keep you posted.

Dina,

Just a thought... Some java applets seem to do funny things to windows.
Depends on what websites this user was visiting and what they have going on
there. I've even had to reinstall windows once, when it seemed that badly
programmed applets fouled up the registry. At least that was my best guess
at the cause - the user did a lot of web access stuff, and it seemed to
happen only after accessing certain web sites.
