Dina,
It is good to make sure the IT group has more than just "techie"
knowledge. They should be able to evaluate your entire business and help
you determine an IT strategy going forward. You can get anyone to deploy
and maintain PCs, Servers, etc....but you need someone who understands
how Vantage will fit into your company and you can rely on offloading
some of the day-to-day tasks without micro-managing them when they are
there.
If your IT consulting team has never heard of Epicor or Vantage you may
consider a firm who does both.
Yes, we do offer these services, but I never use this listserv to
promote our services...these are just things we run into from other
customers and the user group meetings.
Thanks,

Subject: [Vantage] [off topic] Networking Consulting
Happy Monday!!
Well, our company has finally decided to start looking at network /
computer consulting firm. Normally, my boss and myself have taken
care of the network. But it seems recently we have been overloaded
with network that neither of us are getting anything completed. We
have a company coming in today to review our needs and to give us a
price. I know many out there use agency and I was wondering if
there are any thing out of the norm I should be asking this
company? Hidden fees?
Any suggestions on questions I should be asking. Sort a of topic -
they will be upgrading Vantage as well...
Thanks in advance.
