Windows 9.x computers come with a utility called winpopup.exe that has to be
running to receive the messages sent with Net Send.

there are numerous Pop-up messaggin utilities for NT i.e., NTPop-up, etc...
they are all based upon Windows "Net Send" command.
from a command prompt type: net send <userid> or <machinename> or <domain>
'message content' [Enter]

I know how easy it is to send a broadcast message to users connected to
a Netware network, however I am not sure if there is some utility
available that allows you to do this in a Windows NT environment. If
anyone is using anything like this, please let me know.
Thanks
