OHQ does not match serial numbers with status of inventory

Hi,

Ever since 10.0.7 we have experienced occasional issues where the on hand quantity does not match the number of serial numbers with a status of ‘INVENTORY’.

Over the years Epicor have provided data fixes and work arounds (e.g. create the serial number with a status of ‘INVENTORY’ to decrease the OHQ or make a quantity adjustment using the ‘Create Serial Number’ option and then change the status to ‘Adjusted’ to increase the OHQ.

All work, but we have never been able to get to the root cause of the issue. The ‘Serial Number Maintenance’ is inaccessible to anyone but security managers and the status field is audited, so I can be fairly certain that no one is manually changing statuses.

Has anyone else experienced this and ideally identified the cause?
