One-off fix for "value does not match mask" error

Thanks for the reassurance...I'm installing it now and feel much less nervous about installing it since your post!

Epicor was never able to tell me exactly what caused the error so I've never been able to recreate it. The instructions that came with it say to run the conversion program 9527 to correct bad data before applying the patch. There is the usual note to test the program on a copy of the database before applying it to your live database. Since I can't recreate the error I don't know how to do this. Is there anyone that has applied the one-off without any problems or anyone that can tell me now to force the issue so I can test the one-off?

You'll have to find which customer and which tab in Customer Tracker is causing the problem. The error happens when the edit mask is too small to hold the value. Or the value is negative but the edit mask doesn't include the sign. Typically the culprit field shows ???????? on the screen.

We are on 8.03.407a, and we occasionally get this error. We have never gotten a one-off, we were told to just run that conversion 9527. It has fixed it every time.

We are on 406A. Yes, conversion program 9527 does fix this problem. Make sure you run the conversion program when no users are logged on a customer file. I have found in the past that if I run this converison program and some customer records are open that I will get this error on those records. At least that's my theory.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. When 8.03.409A was released open order or open invoice values were sometimes displaying as negatives (not sure why this happened) which caused the "value does not match mask" error. The problem was reported in April with 8.03.409A. I've been running the conversion program once or twice a week since we upgraded to that version, not just every now and then. I'll probably wait a few more days and then apply the one-off if no one reports any problems with it. Tech support assured me they've sent the fix to "many, many customers without issue", I'm probably being just a little paranoid! Thanks all of you for your responses!

We are also on 8.03.409A and the one-off patch worked for us. We have not seen the problem after running the patch Aug 24th.

We did not have a problem with the patch.

I was sent a one-off patch for 8.03.409A (progress) that is supposed to fix the "value does not match mask" error that comes up on a fairly regular basis when in the customer tracker.
