One operation outputting multiple parts used in the same BT

Hello everyone !

We are trying to process some specific manufacturing methods.
I have an operation that cuts three pieces in a metal sheet. Those pieces are then used in the following operations, but not necessarily in the next one. Here is a picture detailing an example :

Is it possible to create such a method in a single job using co-parts and assemblies ?

Thanks in advance

I think it would be much easier to make Operation 1 into a Make-to-stock job, and have CP1, CP2, CP3 pull from stock on the main Job.

He would still need to use co-parts though right? Because the job/operation is producing 3 parts.

Would the MRP recognize that all three coparts will be produced by one job and create one unfirm job to create all coparts ?

Yes it should. The other method would be to make it a subassembly, but I think that would be a little more complicated. I think it would keep everything in the same job, though, if that’s your preference.

I’m trying to make a proof of concept of having one job, I just couldn’t find a way in the method to indicate that the material should come from the same operation. Could it works without coparts ?
